Thank you very much, but you posted Vienna before also without Bratislava How do you create these pictures?
Well, I need a good base map, preferably one which covers a large area and shows the build area in great detail plus (this is very important) a scale. Then I go to work in MS Paint (or Photoshop) to convert the base map to the right scale and only two colors (white and red).

shiro, can you create a comparision of the german state of north-rhine westfalia and los angeles? that would be quite interesting and show just how dense european regions are compared to american "sprawl-cities".
You should scale it at 84 pixels = 10 km so it matches up with my maps and the maps others have done using this scale (the New York and Montreal ones).
Also if you only use 2 colors (white and red) you don't get the blurry edges. Save it as a .png not a .jpeg
