It's all a bit overwhelming and making me more than a little homesick. I'm glad to see where it all began finally make it into a San Francisco photo thread:

Mission San Francisco de Asis (ca. 1776), nicknamed Mission Dolores after a nearby creek named Arroyo de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores (creek of Our Lady of Sorrows)

wow, super thread, smashing area. I'll be there in a few weeks and I worried about the overgentrification, the tribecaïzation, the lifestylization, the marthastewartization of the whole city. thanks, I am reassured, it's still Queens sometimes.

great angles! this is surrealist :

but it would be nice if you could take pics of your snacks when it's not 3/4 eaten

Speechless.
What an awesome down-and-dirty thread.

Although on the downside, I now have a burrito craving that cannot be properly satisfied here in New Hampshire.

Thanks! It always gets to me when people think all of SF is, "overgentrified" or a "disneyland" or a boutique city or something, so I'm glad to show a side that most people don't know about.

Can I ask what you mean by "surrealist" though? Is it the different angles, layers, and lack of depth or something?

As for the snacks...sorry, I guess my mouth is faster than my camera finger...especially when it comes to burritos.

Sweet pictures. It would be awesome if you could get some shots of the San Francisco neighborhoods. I have never really seen most of them.

^^^There have been a number of threads on them. I (and some others) did the Tenderloin. I can recall an excellent thread on the Richmond by someone. I have seen the Haight. I don't have time to try locate them for you but if you give "search" a workout they are there.

If you're taking requests, do Potrero and Dogpatch! And SOMA brick warehouses. And Bernal. And the Fillmore. Heck, can you just quit your job and shoot everything? I think everyone here would appreciate it.
