DARWIN Northern Territory

Darwin is Australia's northernmost city and is the capital of the Northern Territory. It was almost wiped out twice in the past 100 years, once by bombing in WWII and in 1974 by Cyclone Tracy. To its credit it has emerged as a young vibrant multicultural city of 117,395 people (as at Dec 2007) which is beginning to grow in stature every year.

Here are some recent photos of a city growing up.
