This idea will probably get little fan fare but to me it would make sense (connecting such area as the PNE and BCIT)
This is a similar to a circle line I thought about 5 years ago much like the Yamanote Line in Tokyo area... which would start downtown at around Burrard Station, run underground down Hastings (possible spur to Phibbs Exchange) to Willingdon, surface up and run elevated on Willingdon past Brentwood, BCIT, through a tunnel again, up to around Metrotown, run parallel to the Expo Line elevated and then down Kingsway, make a turn onto 41st Ave all the way to Arbutus where it would join a possible Arbutus line, snake its way down to the Burrard st Bridge where it'll run underneath on the proposed lower deck, and then underground back to Burrard Station. There would be full clockwise and counterclockwise service. The ultimate Arbutus line would see service from Marine Drive Station to Phibbs Exchange. The rush hour frequency of each line would be 5 minutes with combined frequency between Kerrisdale and PNE of 2.5 minutes.

One could dream eh?
