I was a little worried too Wasatch. Now, I'm waaaay excited about the look. It does give me a little pause though, regarding the rendering. All too often the renderings are too conceptual, and give no idea as to the actual look of the finished product.
TANGELD, I especially like this one you took with the Moon and the slight shrouding of clouds. It's very esoteric and moody, like maybe "the ghosts of Christmas past" I would actually like to see a painting done of this one.
... a fringe benefit may be a boost to projects that will also turn the state a little greener.
Transportation and transit projects lead the lists of both the state and Salt Lake City, but Salt Lake County listed $47.9 million in "green infrastructure" projects, which include a countywide solar distributive grid, updating buildings for energy efficiency and retrofitting street lights with solar-powered LED fixtures, at the top...
..."These projects create green jobs, diversify the county's portfolio and have a valuable education component," Ober said.
Although I agree with viper, somebody needs to get down there and get winter pics BEFORE all the snow melts, because there's supposed to be a snow break until wednesday and it will be in the 40's by tuesday
We got a lot of snow in Bountiful. I got about a foot at my house. I drove past the tower on the 26th before the storm hit. However, I did not have my camera as my mom was in town and I took her through downtown to show her what was going on and we were in a hurry. There was not much change from the other photos that I posted last. That is why I am planning on going down there at the end of this coming week and hopefully there will be a little more progress. Not much progress with the holidays though.
I really like this building... I think it looks fantastic...It doesn't really add much to the skyline.. but from the street perspective it is 5 stars... loves it

It certainly adds to the density for that area of Downtown.

Since the holidays have taken precedence over photo trips downtown for our most prodigious photographers, I decided to take a walk on a cold, gray day, the first day of 2009. Hope you enjoy.
