i'm not sure they're a "customer" but i'm pretty sure that the biggest user of water in epcor's system is our sewage treatment plants. hopefully there will be some savings or at least some synergy from epcor taking over gold bar... and perhaps someday we will be able to manage sewage treatment without relying on drinking water. and as an aside, i don't think those quantities included the drinking water used in our homes etc. for sewage (i.e. toilets). shopping centres aren't terribly high consumers by the way - a large shopping centre will typically consume less water than a hotel (it's the showers and baths and laundry etc.). wem with it's water park and hotel and ice plant etc. is probably a disproportionate user for shopping centres overall but i would still be surprised if it's anywhere near being a "top consumer" (although maybe if they cleaned their parkade and parking areas better).
