Lots of exciting things all of the sudden happening, hope they come to fruition soon and not in 20 years! The thing Im most excited about is Regents Square. I just wish it was located a little closer to downtown or even in downtown to make it seem like a real city and not just a bunch of office towers.

Anyone remember the site of the old Compass Bank building on Post Oak Blvd?

The Perennial. Supposedly coming 2011.

Wow. That's a big improvement over the old Compass Bank Bldg. That said, I can't imagine that fitting into that space but maybe that's because I never realized how much surface space stood around the old building?

This is a Redstone project, right (the Houstonian people)?

That transit terminal looks absolutely awesome! That would be very cool indeed for Houston to end up with something like that.

Yeah, I just found out about that place over Christmas and I love it better than the view from JPMorgan since you can see all of downtown pretty much. Ill be going up there monday to take some pics for sure. Oh and damn, that terminal is freakin amazing. Looks like something from Star Trek, no joke. It probably wont get built though

My God, if only this could be the actual design chosen? Such fancy type designs like this do not happen every day in Houston anymore. My fingers will be crossed on this awesome piece.

Methodist Outpatient Center today and boy does this tower look good from that side. Not so much so on the other. On the main street side they were installing the last of the glass paneling. YAY

That looks sweet. Love that dome? on top. It almost looks like a squashed globe of the earth. I guess it's just glass though reflecting the clouds. Looks awesome.

More info on The Perennial from RealEstate on HAIF

The rendering posted is HKS's handiwork. I'm a fan of the concept. At this point, the Redstone/Stream conceptual plan that you're looking at calls for (1) a 20 story office tower that consists of 12 stories of large floorplate office (each floor over 33k sf, thus approx. 370k sf in total) sitting atop 8 stories of parking, (2) a taller approx. 30 story hotel/resi tower with 297 hotel rooms and 100+ resi units and (3) just under 75k sf of accompanying ground level+ retail.
~20 story office tower
~30 story hotel/residential tower
~Ground level retail

Another rendering with additional info from the mortage package.
