T A I W A N

This is one of my favourite photo collections of the most badass little island you've never really heard of!
Most photos are of Taichung City, the third largest city in the country located on Taiwan's west coast.

I've went back in January/February and have had a thread waiting in the wings since then. I just need my friend to send me his beats for the soundtrack.

Great shots, man. I lived in Taiwan for three years (Tainan) and never got tired of photographing it. The Taiwanese people are some of the friendliest you'll meet anywhere. Hell, I married one.

Oh, and one little correction: Taichung is the country's third largest city after Taipei and Kaohsiung.

ACK! Did I write largest?!? I meant to write "third" after "the". I lived in Taiwan for three years as well, coincidentally, so I'm very aware that I was not in Taipei!
I'll correct that as soon as I'm not looking at this forum on my blackberry.

Thanks!

Very good. It seems that this place hasn't had much of a recent construction boom though.

Amazing! It's always great to see more of Taiwan in the photo forums. I myself have quite a few photos I've been meaning to post for much too long, thanks for inspiring me to get off my ass!

Actually no, there is a lot of construction. I was just more taken with the busier, earthier scenes in the city. The glassy condo/boutique look has really made an impact in Taiwan anyway, so the newer constructions don't stand out in the same way.

I've seen a lot of things in this part of the world, but I've never seen a dog that size on a scooter before. Yowza.
