At the end of my recent trip to Tennessee, I decided to fly out of Charlotte and see the city. A friend of mine in the area was nice enough to show me around (and take the light rail with me for the first time). I was surprised at how active downtown/uptown was with people, especially late into the night. Charlotte has a lot of nice, new development going on, but, having been in Nashville, not as much in the way of historic buildings. At least what I saw in downtown. Great city though!
