Westboro Village from a bicycle

Just testing and playing around with a new toy, a handlebar mounted video camera. This short ride is typical of cycling on the city's main streets: Drivers passing then not giving room or stopping suddenly, badly parked cars, a pedestrian crossing unexpectedly, a cyclist going the wrong way, etc. Luckily I didn't get doored!

Very cool!

What did you use to stabilize the camera?

It's a tiny camera that comes with bike-specific hardware. It can be attached to a handlebar or a helmet.

Well, I like it. You just have to watch out for those utility poles which bend over and try to hit you.

Great video Kitchissippi, a very cool way to experience the urban environment and see the scale of the streets and some of the newer projects.

Good video, and you look like you were averaging 20+ km's/hr in parts of it.

I had a good tailwind on the eastbound part. If it weren't for those stupid vans I would have made better time. The parked cars also kind of block the view of the storefronts, so maybe I'll do another one on early Sunday or Monday when it's a holiday and all the stores are closed.
