I'm curious what the 'break even' square footage cost might be for a building like that, ie if someone did do the renovation, what they would need to charge to recoup the costs over say 20 years, plus recoup the costs of simply maintaining the building. I ask because due to the Uptown and basically the 'scene' around the first two floors of the building, it would be cool if a non-profit cooperative could take over the building and turn it into something befitting of the 'film district'.
