impresionante foto de las yacatas. dentro de la Ruta don vasco me llegó el chismecín de que podría hacerse un museo interactivo en Patzcuaro.

1° EXPOSICIÓN DE LA CATRINA
23 DE OCTUBRE AL 2 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 2011
LOCALIDAD DE CAPULA, MUNICIPIO DE MORELIA, MICHOACÁN.



La producción de las Catrinas de Barro es, una alternativa artesanal de los alfareros de Capula, poblado perteneciente al municipio de Morelia. Son esculturas trabajadas con la técnica del pastillaje cocidas al natural o vidriadas; algunas son pintadas con engobes de colores y otras decoradas en frío con pinturas acrílicas o vinilicas.

La exposición de Catrinas refleja a la sociedad mexicana, desde la época precolombina con un altar de muertos, el sincretismo con la religión del nuevo mundo, así como el encuentro de dos culturas.

Los alfareros de Capula son en la actualidad los máximos exponentes del país de las Catrinas en su modalidad de barro, mostrando con sus piezas las más diversas temáticas, pero sin perder la esencia del legado del maestro Posadas.
