Cool Two new highrises proposed for downtown Asheville, NC.

Developer Tony Fraga and his FIRC Group wants to put a 25-story hotel on Page Avenue and a 23-story condominium building on Haywood Street as part of a project that would also include 80,000 square feet of retail space, 506 parking spaces and about 50,000 square feet of office space.

The responses (comments) on the article sound just like the ones in Ithaca regarding new developments.

I think the buildings would look good in the skyline, and not be out of place (rendering #8 is the best view for the impact).

Thanks gman.

We heard even Charlotte doesn't have buildings this tall. Thank you people who stood up- the residents don't want this. Please support the scale/architecture of the core area- the weirdness- and the Master Plan Process. Thank you City Council- you did good.

Where the f#$% do they get their information?! WOW! I didn't realize Charlotte's tallest, the BOA Building was only 25 stories... Asheville, though a very lovely city, seems to have a lot of uneducated ignorant dipshits inhabiting it. I wish Huntsville would have the projects proposed that Asheville has had the past few years.
