Are educators "Co-parents" ????

Is the Kitchener Waterloo school board superintendent correct that the school system are "co-parents"?
If so could they baby sit Friday night so I can got out for the evening?
Our taxes dollars at work.
At least apologize to the parent in question.
Seriously this was mishandled and maybe morally speaking someone should accept responsibility.

Teachers are "co-parents" in that after the parents, they are the adult kids will interact with and look up to the most. Children should respect and admire their teachers as much as they respect and admire their parents. (Unless their parents are abusive or negligent, in which case they should feel comfortable enough with their teachers to tell the teacher about it so something can be done.)
