Sadly, I'm not as computer savvy or have the amount of free time on my hands as the esteemed members of "the institute" obviously does, but anybody who has taken a high school computer science class can do the exact same thing they have provided. In any event, if I were to undertake such an action, I would just be adding on to the pile of biased "studies". I choose instead to leave it the pros (i.e. the ones who are impartial, not ones who have an agenda to push) If the tobacco lobby has "studies" that say smoking isn't as bad for you as some might say (as they have), I don't need to construct one of my own to know that its not on the level.

I am not really familiar with the sightline institute but the graph is quite clear although the scale is clearly exagerated. The data is WSDOT those notorious pro transit commies so I see your point....don't think that data could be spun any other way. That said it is data for a single route and may not represent any bigger picture things.
