That last paragraph is why I think this tower lands a tenant before it's capped. Hopefully once a couple of those mega-tenants sign leases in buildings and fewer large blocks of space become available in these new buildings, those mega-tenants will sign leases with increasingly frequency, ensuring that they have space once their lease expires. Thanks for the article.

And there's ample time for Silverstein to find a tenant to cover the minimal amount - remember also that he has a great advantage over his competitors as that article points out . . . there's physical steel and concrete to already be shown for.

Yes, while other large towers planned have the advantage of being in Midtown, Silverstein's WTC towers are already a real thing, coming out of the ground. Silverstein has until next year to get a tenant (while they are still working on tower 3), and I'd be very surprised if he doesn't land the lease needed to get full funding for construction by then.

This is NYC he will find a tenant. Tons of company's will want to move back to lower Manhattan once they see one WTC completed. So much happening down there that I've not seen in a while. I think people feel much safer than before.

Yup, this is why I think so too. I mean, come on! This is New York City for crying out loud! The Financial Capitol of the World!

Anyways, I have been making more WTC animations,

Some screenshots of my newest 1WTC animation are below:

Long way to go. Not as high as 4, but still higher than 2 (barely visible).

Are they like right now in the process of still building the other WTC complexes (not 4) higher? It seems like 175 Greenwich hasn't rose in almost 2 months.. They may as well just list it as "On Hold" if nothing is going on.

There's working being done everyday on the other WTC sites.

The core just jumped to another level a couple of days ago. What are you talking about?

I don't know what makes you think nothing is going on. All you have to do is go down to the site. They are working everyday. It's not supposed to get much higher than it is. I've mentioned that steel is not expected to start rising until May.

Why isn't the steel not going to rise till May? Whatever happened to them having to "cap" it until they found tenants?

Steel isn't going to rise until May because the core has to be completed first. They still have a few floors to go. Once the core is completed, you should see perimeter steel erected.

The cap plan is still in place; the plan for now is to construct the first seven floors and underground retail. This is because there is infrastructure below ground level that's shared with Tower 4 and the Transit Hub.

This is also the reason T2 was built to grade; its underground infrastructure is needed (and shared) for the entire complex.

Silly question but, how come T3 has such a large concrete core in comparison to 1WTC?

It looks like but it might be because the steel hasn't been erected yet.
