Over the weekend I took some photos at BNSF's Northtown Yard in Minneapolis. It is a good place to take skyline/train combination shots. It is a massive freight humping yard, these photos are only a small part of it:

Abandoned Rock Island Illinois rail cars in Galveston, TX. I found these suckers while driving through the ghetto part of the island in an old rail yard, just rotting away. rockyi would be proud.

I was lucky this morning. I decided to take my camera with me on the way to work, because of the beautiful morning light, when I saw this one passing by.

As well as being a skyscraper geek I also just recently started railfanning. Here are a few pictures I took last week:

CN train 407 is a mixed freight which runs from Dartmouth, NS to Moncton, NB. Caught this one on October 5, 2012 at Belmont, NS

CN train 120 an intermodal runs from Toronto, ON to Halifax, NS.

Took these pictures in August at Bedell which is just south of Kemptown, Ontario along CP's Winchester Subdivision.

And this one is from November 18 in Truro, NS
