I vaguely remember that island/peninsula proposal for a tower. The NIMBYs were even more hateful towards development back then. I can't believe that was even proposed - unless maybe, the developers were not from around here.

Hey, this should make Jdawgboy happy. I saw a police boat on Lady Bird Lake on Monday with a gas powered engine. They were puttering along under the Pfluger Bridge. I tried to get a photo, but they never came out from under the bridge, but I could see its exhaust. I guess they were patrolling for Memorial Day. There were a ton of boats on the river that day.
