Definitely the best San Diego thread I've seen. I liked seeing all of the old houses and buildings. It wasn't just the typical shiny new condo towers pictures... it was pictures of a wide range of everything. Thanks for your efforts.

What'd you think of Petco? Its one of the stadiums I never got a chance to visit when I lived in California...

i liked it although parts of it were hard to get around; plenty of parking, easy to get out, good selection of food and beer, cheap good seats.

Really nice tour!

Something strange caught my eye, mostly because it's pretty common in my city, and that's the storefronts built right onto the front of single-family homes

I used to live in a home just down the block (not in view) right on the edge where downtown and Mission Hills meet.

Even when it gets dreary my hometown is still gorgeous!

Mongoz: Wouldn't that be more Bankers Hill? Wasn't the Jet noise there super annoying? That section gets so loud plus the freeway... I really like that hood but the noise is a bit much for me. I'm trying to move up by 3rd ave. north of Laurel. That section of town is nice and you aren't in the flight path.

mello: Pretty sure it was Mission Hills. I was @ W. Maple and State St right under the flight path but it didn't bother me. I remembered getting a monthly letter from the airport showing how much each airline was fined for not landing before the curfew at night. Foggy days got pretty loud when jets had to takeoff and land at reverse directions.

San Diego has a unique flavor. I feel like it's like a mix of Miami and San Francisco. I like how you showed the gritty less seen areas of San Diego as well. Such a beautiful City!
