Central is having its crane go up as I type this.

Also, the Tap and Barrel has taken delivery of its outdoor tables and chairs. The chairs are bright red, which should add a nice splash of colour.

Overheard the following just this moment on the seawall "What? He made tewnty-five million dollars in six months?"

According to the City of Vancouver's Q&A sheet for potential Wall Centre False Creek theatre/office tenants (http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/cultura...enant-Call.htm), JJ Bean is confirmed for the ground floor at the corner of Columbia St. and 1st Ave.

^I see the Q&A re JJBean... but where do you gather the location within WCFC?

p.s. got a good shot of the marketing crew taking a pic of WCFC W1 today from a bucket suspended from the tower crane... it's in my IG account...

why would they be taking marketing shots? the building is sold out ..... ?

as for the JJ Bean there is only 1 CRU adjacent to the Theater Space .... so that's why it would be mentioned.

I looked at the ground floor plans http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/cultura...enant-Call.htm (scroll to bottom of page) and it seems to be the only non-residential space not allocated to the theatre tenant. It's not actually labeled as a coffee shop on the plan, so I could be wrong about the location.

Maybe 'branding' or 'pr' would be better terms... but the developer is still building towers and selling new ones [elsewhere in the city]... showing progress on a "past/existing" project is never a bad PR move.

They could be sending the photos as a construction update for those who already bought units.

If I understand correctly... no patios within Vancouver, and maybe the province, are permitted to have music. Or maybe it's the combination of alcohol, patios, and music that's not allowed. But somehow music seems to be a no no!

Cactus Club, Broadway/Ash, has music outside.

the odd place has music but a lot dont... if there is music heard on the patio its because its from windows being open and music being heard from inside ... Score on davie had music on their patio but some ppl a few blocks away complained and they were forced to turn it off... typical vancouver I find it so awkward when a patio doesnt have some kind of background music even outside coffee shops. its like when you walk into a store and theres nothing playing, its weird.
