Mississauga, a suburb.

^^it's huge. Peel Region, which consists of Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon, has just under 1.3 million people (about the the same population as metropolitan Calgary, Edmonton or Ottawa). Mississauga alone has just under 800,000, which is roughly the size of metropolitan Winnipeg, Hamilton or Quebec City.

That's Mississauga, which at around 720,000 people is I believe the second largest city in the Greater Toronto Area.

EDIT: Folks already answered the question.

Great pictures! You need to stop by in Toronto more often.

What is that rise in elevation in the distance in #49, #57, etc? Is that the Canadian Shield?

Probably Oak Ridges Moraine. You really get a good idea of the amount of high-rises in post-war suburban Toronto in those two pics (though the telephoto compression makes them appear much closer to downtown than reality), especially compared to the previous thread, where everything was smoggy (but still great). Yeah, lots of really great photos again.

Thanks! I need to make a more extended visit to Toronto. I've been there a few times this year, but never for longer than 24 hours and usually without my camera. Next time I'll ignore the skyscrapers and focus on the street life.

Oak Ridges Moraine, the maximum elevation of the Moraine is somewhere around 340 m.a.s.l. (metres above sea level)

Bay & King in downtown Toronto is around 84 m.a.s.l., so your difference in elevation is roughly 256 metres (840 feet).

So technically, the photo was taken at an elevation of about 320 metres, and FCP (BMO office tower in the picture) is a good 44 metres taller than the Oak Ridges Moraine.

Cool stats, never thought to check it out. Thanks for asking!

Wow, Toronto really is a skyscraper city. Great shots, what Toronto needs is a new supertall though!

^ There's a 900 foot building under construction, close enough for now.

ugh, i'm glad Trump is "hidden" between buildings. I cringe every time I walk by it..

I can't wait for it to get nominated for a Pug Award (local city architecture/design awards) so i can vote a billion times for it as one of the ugliest new builds
