Beside the fact that energy is not wasted on heating/cooling a whole mall, there doesn't seem to be much going for these kinds of developments. More land, more cars being used, and they aren't main public transit points like Place D'Orleans, St. Laurent, etc.

These are nothing more than a regression if you ask me.
