great thread - the diversity of races in Malaysia is amazing - Indian, Chinese, Malay and African ancestries, centuries old, all in one place.

what a small world bro.. you see the guy with the helmet in your pic? I just came back from Malaysia and we were partying on top of a building with a bunch of Scandinavian chics.

Epic stuff, was hoping to see some shots of all the new high rise developments in Penang I have seen a thread on it in SSP and it seems like it is having a huge boom right now.

^not entirely happy with that, Penang has one of the largest Old Towns in Asia.

Muppet: I was speaking more of stuff I've seen right along the coast line away from the old town. Penang is a decent sized island. I'm against tearing down the nice old colonial structures. I would assume for tourist purposes they would want to restore the old buildings. What is currently going on with regards to that?

also , its interesting with the last set of pictures because it almost seems the forest villagers are a mix of asian and african !
