Share your own personal videos of your city or any that you've visited and would like to share!

I'll start, obviously, hahaha...

I shot this short video of downtown St. John's on, I believe, July 23, 2012. It's only been a few days anyway. It's the reward for about a 20-minute hike up the Southside Hills.

I felt a bit like a cat in a tree... it was easy enough to get up, but now that I'm here, what do I do?

Another.

This one starts ALMOST at the waterfront and goes all the way to the top of Long's Hill. All of this is basically the first hill of downtown St. John's. There are many more on the other side of Long's Hill.

This is my favourite drive in the city: from the top of Signal Hill all the way down to Temperance Street and the waterfront.

One more? Hahaha...

This is an old, abandoned WWII-era battery at Cape Spear, just outside St. John's. There are a few around. The waters off Newfoundland's coast were a popular hunting ground for German submarines. After the war, they supposedly even found tickets to plays and things in St. John's on the submarines. I've always heard those stories, but I've never seen proof.

In any event, the British and, especially, the Americans set up a lot of defences in Newfoundland (which, remember, wasn't part of Canada at the time).

You've seen pictures of The Battery neighbourhood. This is what it's like to walk in it...

I LOL every time I realize... holy crap, the city actually put drainage culverts and fire hydrants in this neighbourhood...

Newfoundlanders have a special relationship with fog. It's kind of fitting to me that St. John's and San Francisco not only look alike in architecture, but they both battle with fog that is ALWAYS JUST offshore, waiting for the winds to be right to sweep over the city and block out the sun.

Well, here it is happening. I was hiking on a beautiful, sunny morning. It had to be closing in on 20C. Then the wind changed direction, the fog rolled in, and the temperature dropped 5-10C in minutes. And the fog horn at Cape Spear started to wail...
