I shot the photos earlier this month and all are of the downtown Idaho Falls area. I am pretty sure this is the first photo thread of I.F. on SSP so I have put together a few facts of the city and also a few links to Idaho Falls history if anyone is interested. Idaho Falls is located in South Eastern Idaho on Interstate 15, 290 miles west of Boise and 52 miles north of Pocatello.

Interesting Facts:
The Snake River begins in Yellowstone National Park near Idaho Falls and enters Idaho south of Jackson Hole.
Idaho Falls is home to one of the largest concentrations of tech pros in the Rocky Mountain region.
The city generates its own electricity via the falls on the river in downtown.

Idaho Falls is the base city for the Island Park area including Mesa Falls and the Teton Valley; the Idaho side, and some of the worlds best fly fishing on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, Idaho, north of town.
Regional commerce center and largest city in the Greater Yellowstone area of Eastern Idaho, far Western Wyoming and SW Montana and is a major gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks as well as the Caribou-Targhee National Forests of Eastern Idaho. If you are mauled by a bear in Yellowstone chances are you will end up at the hospital in Idaho Falls.
Major beer plants in the area are Grupo Modelo SA de CV, Anheuser-Busch, and Budweiser. The agricultural areas around the city includes thousands of acres of barley grown for beer. Idaho is the number 2 barley producing state.
