27C with a humidex of 29C and mainly sunny today in Montreal. The incredible heat in KC this week was a new experience for me. At one point, my uncle's car temperature was showing 113F (45C). His car couldn't even cool down with the max intensity A/C working (black car though).

His home A/C also couldn't cool entirely. It showed an inside temperature of 77F(25C) while it was set at 74F(23.3C).

The Canadian warmspot was Val Marie, Saskatchewan at 35.2C.

32 in Winnipeg yesterday, 32 for today, 32 forecast for Tuesday. For those keeping score at home I believe it's up to 13 days above 30 this July, with only 3 days below 27.

No, that's a southern Alberta thing, they say it was a hot 21 today and the humidity was something else.

No it's 30 in Winnipeg right now and the humidex is at 37.

Well duh. We only feel the effects of humidity maybe 3 days a year... so this whole "humidex" thing often seems a bit pointless. Kinda like the UV index in the middle of winter, when the sun is 20 degrees above the horizon: "Yup, still basically has zero effect".

I hear yeah! It's the hottest day so far this year here, 35 with a sweltering 39 humidex.

You must be cooler (and wetter ) in Winnipeg now! So happy here that storm moved on, for a change, instead of swirling around Saskatchewan.

Our crops are getting mighty close to harvest now (we'd love it if the combine's doors weren't level with the land).

28C with a humidex of 34C and sunny this afternoon in Montreal! Gorgeous.

The Canadian warmspot was Winnipeg, Manitoba at 35.6C. The Victoria Beach station is reporting 38.4C but that seems inaccurate.

I hate how Canadian maps exaggerate the curve of the earth. St. John's is actually hundreds of kilometres south of any city in western Canada (except maybe Victoria? I've never checked but I believe they dip down quite a bit?). They're all north of 49. We are barely north of 47.

Pet peeve lol.

Strong storms wreaking damage in regions south of Edmonton passed through earlier this evening. Calm and cool right now. A blessing, I tells ya.
