If I recall correctly, there's supposed to be a nightclub moving into the basement or ground level of The Rolston - maybe they were installing sound dampening materails? (or not)

Nice Photos! ~ Does this mean that the Rolston can now change its status from "Proposed" to "Under Construction" and add to the total number of buildings from 16 to 17?

the box frame design is truly just skin-deep. It's as if they reshuffled the units and interior structure, but never bothered to update the building envelope.

The painting of those ledges and boxes will be what adds the drama to the facade
- I don't expect a cohesive look until they are painted.

And unlike The Mark, the painted ledges and boxes will dominate over the spandrel
- so I think it will look OK.

Taking shape now. The Yale blues bar in the foreground surrounded by scaffolding and being restored. The Mark tower in the background.
