DT Seattle - A Hop, Skip, and a Jump

On the last day of my civic duty as a juror, I took a walk from the courthouse near Old and Historic Pioneer Square north to New and Hip South Lake Union at about lunchtime. Upon arriving back at work after missing the entire week, and hearing the Blue Angels thundering outside, and it being a hot (for once) Friday, it became apparent to me that I made the wrong decision and should have just played hooky for the rest of the day. Here are pics:

^^ Smith Tower Seattle

^^ Pioneer Building Seattle

^^ The Viaduct Seattle

^^ Seattle's Smokestack

^^ Development at Western and Yesler Seattle

^^ Columbia St. Offramp from Hwy 99

^^ Henry M. Jackson Federal Bldg Seattle

^^ HUD Seattle

^^ 2nd and University Downtown Seattle

^^ Ghosts of Washington Mutual

^^ Triple Door Seattle

^^ Westlake Park Blue Trees

^^ Westin Seattle and Monorail

I swear some of the bluest skies I have ever seen have been in the northwest, and I spent most of my life in northern California!

Great shots! I had jury duty at King County last summer - tough to spend a few beautiful days in a windowless waiting room.

What's considered hot in Seattle? I'm curious.

Nice nice views and I'll finish with my standard Seattle salute...

Ride the S.L.U.T.!

Anything over 80. Over 85 is really hot and over 90 they'll tell you to check on elderly neighbors and drink plenty of water.

I almost died in a one-mile walk today, despite waiting until the shadows were decent. I just looked and it's freaking 91 freaking degrees.

Crystal clear and sharp presentation. Uh, 80 F is HOT around here. So glad it's like 65 F right now. No way my body and mind could deal with the weather elsewhere in the country.
