Think temporary steel structures above the roof (105) level so the cranes can jack themselves up and their base support will be above the roof level so the concrete roof can be poured and the cranes can be shifted around to allow for the placement of colling towers and errection of rings and spire.

As it turns out, that beam was signed by President Obama, Michelle Obama, Governors Cuomo and Christie, and Mayor Bloomberg.

So this was the topping out beam, I suppose.

Yes Carlos has some great views, and I wish I could live by him but I also have nice views from The Rockaways and beyond. Carlos is a great guy for sharing his view with others.
