Lol, I'd have to agree. Those double-cobras are probably the best thing that came from that decade.

Chicago is slowly getting rid of our cobra-heads and replacing them with black gawky looking gas lamp style lights. It's nice for some areas, but totally out of context with other parts of the city (which is the overwhelming majority).

I might've been awkward and misunderstood in my previous post above, and apologize.

I still think Downtown needs a little boost though, and that parking garage we see on several pics here is an example of opportunity to redevelop something there.
That's it. Hope every big guy in town thinks about it.
I didn't see anything that could be portrayed as negative in your previous post.

I totally agree with you about the parking garages in downtown cores, but it sure as hell beats a vacant lot any day . Lol, the only reason why I took a pic of it was because that particular one has a pedway.

st. louis has a parking garage fetish that is out of control and people are right to call that out. it's like...just one more hit of parking garage, man, then i'm done. totally done! i guess it's better than a lot of surface lots right in the cbd but we have those nearby, too. it will be easier to look past them i guess as more downtown retail comes on line.

the big exception is washington avenue which wasn't photographed, really, which is the jewel of downtown. you should come back and do that.

Love this shot of Laclede's Landing. If you can see the trees at the base of the glass building, that is the Four Seasons Hotel's pool, which has great views of the Arch and skyline.

St. Louis reminds me of those hollywood babes that end up doing some serious damage with plastic surgery. She's still a beaut, true, but I just can't forgive her for fucking her self up. I can't look at her the same way. Kinda like a Rose McGowan. St. Louis had its version of old montreal, or french quarter and she blew it, blew it all to hell. At least there's still Washington Avenue! Wonderful photos, thanks for sharing them.
