Leeds, UK

Long time lurker but never posted on here. Just thought I would take some photos of a city I dont think has ever been posted on here.

Leeds is a city in the North of England, with a population of 715, 404, about 3 or 4th largest in England.

My camera is not the best and it was a grey and rainy day (it is England!) when I took most of these so I am probably not doing it justice. Hopefully I will be able to take some better shots soon especially as I have not been able to get any skyline or night shots yet!

The University

By kris_chaos at 2012-08-02

Just down from the University.... Halo was a church that is now a night club/bar.

By kris_chaos at 2012-08-02

This is a canal boat... in the middle of a traffic island... Thats is a pub/bar (handily opposite the university!)

Some handsome buildings there, but that awfully ugly, grey weather certainly has to do a number on your spirit and well-being.

i could use some grey, cool, rainy weather myself...I shouldn't be this weary of brutally cloudless skies...

Very interesting building styles. I like the building facades that have a mix of brick and stone.

UK city centres appear to have much stronger retail than most North American cities of similar size.

Looks like an awesome city. I can't get enough moody gray weather. It's my favorite.

I agree, I often look at a lot of the photos of smaller U.S cities on here and think where are all the stores lol!

Thanks for the comments, I will try to take some more when I get chance, Maybe even when the sun is out!!! There is a new 13,000 capacity stadium begin constructed here I am hoping to get pictures of too!

This is very nice, thanks!

We could use some cool, rainy weather here, 90 F with 75% humidity is too hot.
