Homeless along King Street (2010) -- it is now illegal to set up shop like this along sidewalks mainly because of how widespread it is & of course because it makes Honolulu look bad in the eyes of visitors. Instead of actually addressing the homeless issue in the city they've basically forced many to move further out in the burbs & other places. The western edge of Waikiki near Queens Beach was also a popular spot for many homeless back in 2010 & way out along the Waianae Coast line.

The Malasadas are pretty good here -- done with a Macanese influence versus the more traditional Madeiran style that's commonly found around the city.

The Hispanic Heritage Festival at Kapiolani Park - it's where the majority of festivals (e.g., Hispanic, Japanese, Okinawan, Thai, Vietnamese, Tahitian, Scottish Highland, Gay Pride, Korean, Filipino, etc) are held or end at after parades. The Greek, Portuguese, Puerto Rican, Micronesian & some Muslim (Ala Moana & Manoa Valley District Park) events are usually held at Ala Moana Beach Park. Samoans usually have events at Keehi Lagoon Park.
