Yes it is. Both CRUs have been leased with the office portion still available.

The Rogue at Ash & Broadway is now open.

Yeah...but it's just so similar to the Cactus Club...the office worker market in the area is not large enough to fill both so I think it'll just bleed customers from Cactus Club and both of them will just be half-full all of the time.

I'm still glad it's there, but they need to have a more Unique Selling Point. Anybody here ever *eaten* in a Rogue and can attest to the quality of the menu?

The quality of the food isn't as good or consistent as Cactus Club.; it is okay though. Same with the service. Definitely better than the former Transcontinental though which was simply awful.

The Waterfront station location is usually quite busy and appears to do quite well; probably based more on the location more than the food.

I did find the announcement of the Broadway location curious as well. Even aside from Cactus there are more enticing options in the area...Milestone's etc.

I will admit to eating there at Rogue once. I'm not one to write anything off forever, but I will not going back until I've been told the place has greatly improved by people I trust.

More exciting is Wildebeest should be opening tonight/maybe tomorrow. Also the refurbished building on Carrall across from Pigeon Park will house a new restaurant named Pidgin by a well known chef. Good news for us Foodies.

Harvey's will be opening next door to the poutinerie. I used to go to one of the original four locations in Hamilton 40 years ago. Back then you could see them cut the potatoes and hand make the patties. It was only big enough inside to stand and place your order; no tables but they were the best in Ontario. Too bad Cara took them over and ruined them.

I'm sure the shareholders are happy with what they've done.

Harvey's will have some stiff competition in the burger market, but the Milestone's chain beats Earls, Cactus Club, and a lot of that market. IMHO of course.

Completely agree! When Cara took over my place of work Grand & Toy they eviscerated it.

looks quite interesting inside - took a peek at it the other day when the doors were open

the mcdonalds at tv towers for those who haven't seen it - I can see why they moved its a much bigger space, loads of seating and a good sized patio outside - the old location was only good for take out really due to lack of seating
