I love the public gardens (maybe because in my city we don't have a public garden, but only a portual area and a residence zone). Ok, so this citadel is a part of the history area, and (sorry for my english and for this many questions) this is near the university? I'd saw (on google maps), which the university can be near at this citadel, it's true?

Sorry for this many questions, but the next year i'll be moving in Halifax, after i finish the study at the conservatory (this year).

If you look in post #356, Spring Garden is the main street traveling right-left above where it says "Vision Air Services". The very right-hand corner of this picture (next to the yellow crane) is the edge of one of the Dalhousie campuses. If you look at the larger picture in post #358, the concrete tower furthest to the left and the squat building next to it with the yellow strip are at the edge of the other part of Dalhousie. There are a few other universities in the area but they are not really visible in either of these pictures.

I read that the city is divide in Regional Municipal (and i think is the area in the photos) and the Halifax (former city).
What is the difference between regional municipal and Halifax (former city)?

Yes - Saint Mary's University, Mount Saint Vincent University, and King's College are the others.

The area shown in the photos is a small part of the former City of Halifax. Prior to 1996 there was also the City of Dartmouth on the other side of the harbor, and the County of Halifax surrounding both, a largely suburban and rural area covering a large geographic area. Amalgamation in 1996 combined all these areas into Halifax Regional Municipality under a single government.

Oh, finally i understand how is structured Halifax. Is a big city with different areas. And is crossed by a part of sea who divided Halifax from the area of Dartmouth, and every area are under the same government .

But you are right, Halifax Harbour (the ocean) separates Dartmouth and Halifax. You will most definitely enjoy your time here. I find it really fun how you are taking an interest of our city, and taking the time to learn and research before coming, and we're able to show you and explain things to you! And I want to thanks this community for the informations. You are more useful of Wikipedia (ITA), because thanks to the informations i understand how is Halifax. And i don't see the time to coming in this place. But i need of more informations as possible, not only for places, but i need an informations for the health, for my driving license (I think I will do another time the exam because in Canada is not valid my italian driving license, at 23 is difficoult to return to study the books ). So, i try to search this informations on internet, but who better than you know Halifax
