@Darthreun

From what I've read on the facebook page dedicated to the construction, the spaces between the large panels will be filled in to smooth out the look.

There's a picture on page 9 that gives you an idea of what the final product will look like:

This was the response to somebody asking about the panels regarding a Sept 17th photo (below). "Construction nouveau Colisee" is the owner of the facebook page.

link:
https://www.facebook.com/constructio...type=3&theater

(google's attempted translation)
Building new coliseum gonna stay white like that, there have not .Here a white film over this samble Why this quad will air joints between the module will be closed with a white tole also

Actually, I kind of like it with the gaps. It gives it a sort of ice block construction kind of look that fits in with the Quebec Winter Carnival.

I don't mind it either from a distance. The problem is, as you get up close the insulation layer really shows through.

^Probably. A little bit of rounding on the edges would probably solve that, but that would be quite costly and the actual blocks would need to be offset to make it read like I interpret it more. All in all, this looks to be shaping up to be a snazzy new venue in Quebec.

I was kind of underwhelmed by the initial exterior renderings but as I see the actual version come together the look is growing on me. Can't wait to see the final product.

Thanks you Steve61. This arena will truly be unique. I hope they lit it up at night, blue or simply white, would be spectacular!

I also hope the Panthers owner realizes how good Quebec City would be money-wise instead of Miami.
