St. John's in 2015-2016-2017

A new year; a new thread. This is where I'll post what'll surely be the too many pictures of St. John's I take in 2015. I'm starting this year with a new camera and it's taking me a little while to figure out/have fun with all the settings - so some of the first are quite shit but it gets better.

This first post is mostly of our first major snowfall of the winter, and a few from before it. All of the pictures are from January.

This morning I took a little detour on my commute to head out to the Battery and enjoy the sunrise. When I was living on the mainland, I used to despise the Battery. I always found it so embarrassing that it was all the mainland seemed to show to depict St. John's. Now that I'm back, I love it. It's everything I love about St. John's on steroids. Homerism or not, I'd be hard-pressed not to include it somewhere on a list of Canada's coolest residential neighbourhoods.
