Heard negative rumours about the landlords. Maybe that's why the price is so low.

This is the final finish. Also the affinity building on John is being painted dark teal and it looks tight.

I took this phot this morning on the way to work. I wonder if they are going to expose the brick at the side of the building too.

This is still pretty far from done, so hard to tell. Hopefully the stone on the main floor is of a significant size and not the fake tiny stacked stone that is being horribly misused all over the place. That stuff is meant for fireplaces not outside walls. That stucco really just needs cleaned up and painted a charcoal grey though, he should spend any siding money on new windows/door for the front.

I'd love to see a mixed-use building behind City Hall. Add some office space for the City, some residential and finally have a new YMCA built all together.

The current downtown YMCA is a disaster zone lol.

A big part of me agrees with Steeltown on this one... But I'd also be happy with a "City Square" like Nathan Phillips in TO, or Celebration Square in Mississauga.

I know we have Gore Park already, but people shy away from it I find (plus it's completely torn up every other year)... Although I worry it'd end up being empty most of the time like Commonwealth Square.

My dream would involve having Main St go underground tunnel from Bay St to MacNab and therefore link City Hall forecourt to Commonwealth Square. Add some trees, plants, fountains, benches and wham you have an urban oasis.

But that's probably what $100 million to do? lol

I'd guess a couple billion.

I do like the idea of a park, but anything that would get rid of the parking so more city employees take transit would be nice.

This building has been painted... brown. I guess they bit off a bit more than they could chew with the paint stripping. I just wish they had chosen a more inspiring colour.

Lots of new restaurants opening in the James South area soon.

- A La Luna Express is going into the old Adam's/J&J Supermarket
- Mattson (currently on Locke) is opening a second location in the former Let Them Eat Cake
- A Cuban/Latin restaurant is going into Undermount's old spot
- Narula's (currently on Barton) is opening an express location where Grab & Go Green Deli was
