Good moves for the Oil.

Honestly, can't complain one bit by the Habs play. Guys are fighting to the end. No shame in losing to one of the best NHL teams playing like that with an AHL lineup.

Missing players:
Galchenyuk, Markov, Gallagher, Shaw, Desharnais (yes him) and Pateryn. Some big names in there. Hopefully the 2 big ones Galchenyuk and Markov are back within the next 2 weeks.

Matthew Tkachuk is awesome, Brent Burns was hooking him so Tkachuk took his stick and went to the bench haha

Hall's return was interesting... nice ovation, bad elbow to Kassian, mouth full of fist.

My god is McDavid, Drai and our heart.soul Maroon amazing.

Good finish last night against the Devils, but man the Oilers need to start these home games with more zest. Rogers place is a goddamn library, worst atmosphere ever

Good tribute to Hall, really liked him during his time here. The elbow to Kassian made me laugh. Did Hall expect any less of a reaction from Kassian? LOL

If we get some secondary scoring, Edmonton could be a very, very good team.

LOL... typical Habs. From one blowout (vs Jets) to another (vs Wild). We still have a 9 pts lead in our division and the 4th best record in the NHL (only 4 pts back from 1st overall). I wouldn't worry too much especially with Galchenyuk maybe coming back tomorrow and Markov very soon.

Seeing how trash our defense is right now, it is safe to say my assumption was right. 38 years old Markov is the best Habs D-man. Surprisingly, his absence is being felt on defense rather than on offense (like I thought it would) especially with Price being human this season.

4th best record in the NHL buuuttttt:

vs Columbus 0-10 L, 1-2 L
vs Washington 2-1 W, 1-4 L
vs Pittsburgh 4-0 W, 3-4 L
vs Chicago 2-3 L
vs Minnesota 2-4 L, 1-7L

2-7 versus the other top five teams in the NHL. Montreal are playing the Rangers for the first time tonight (and who they'll play twice more after tonight before the end of the season). They get Pittsburgh once more. Columbus once more. They play Ottawa three times in a week in March, a team they've lost to this season. Chicago, Dallas, St. Louis all come to town. Montreal's proven they don't play well against the other best teams in the league.

Price needs to wake up already.

My Jets could also be good with secondary scoring, goaltending, better D, depth, more than 2 real lines, better coaching......

You are right although some of those games were played while missing our best forward and best D-man.

Price is also bound to heat up soon. For the past month, he's been "very average". Montoya has actually been better than him last couple of games.

Among the 9 games you mentioned above, 2 were bad games by Price that we could have won (or at least went to OT) if Price didn't give up softies (vs Washington and Minnesota).
Montoya played the 2 Columbus games and the loss vs Pittsburgh was at 4 on 3 in OT, a situation we won't see during the playoffs.

But anyways, yes, the situation is a bit concerning and this is why we, Habs fans, want Bergevin to trade for a #2C. With the Weber trade, it's clear we're going all in this year so this is something that has to be made since depth at center is the big weakness of this team. There will be no excuses for Bergevin!

Nice win for the Leafs and Habs.

The Battle of Alberta is FAST, but a bit sloppy.
