By the way, it may be helpful to have more details of the contemporary thing on here. It's called Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Pictures are from the French Wiki article: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cath%C...rthodoxe_russe)

Actually, this must be rather post-modern as well, showing some details or ornaments that modernism would deem useless, but you got look closer to see.

This is hands down one of the best (or simply the best) recently built churches in the entire country. I think it's all the more valuable that it won't try hard to mimic anything from the past, which by principle is great.
Now I can't tell how much the project costed. Might've been a bit expensive, though.
psst... A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (John 13:34)
I like bass. Give me some.

Yes, these churches are beautiful and I can tell that some of that churches are the real masterpieces. But I know that government has destroyed a lot of houses, kindergartens and schools to build church in the center of the city
Skyscapers are the evidence that humanity has stepped forward. Nowadays we can live, play games and watching picturesque landscapes from a bird's eye view and without leaving home

Nice architecture! Modern yet retaining its byzantine style, with its façade like a mille-feuille cake.
