Woah, that's a big sucker. If anyone wants to resize it, be my guest.

From that angle, some of those floors definitely have “unique” dimensions. Never noticed that before.

Which building? They both have varying dimensions. Specifically the office tower facing the square.

Getting pretty close to topping out on tower 1. I think the roof slab is complete as of yesterday and they're pouring the elevator core above the roof now.

It looks like they're putting a second story on that elevator rooftop shack, making it tall enough to have the elevator to open onto the roof. (Much like the Holiday Towers to the south, with the rooftop pool.)

What's the black (girder?) construction to the right of the elevator shack? so far it reminds me of a helipad.

Some kind of mechanical I would presume in the steel shack. Or maybe just a rooftop indoor area??

But you're right, the elevator will likely go up one more storey or so.

Some photos from today. Roof is done, working on the elevator core as we discussed yesterday. Glazing work is ongoing.

Hydro Building + True North Square are going to compliment each other so well. I just wish the the actual square part was turned 90 degrees so that it would lead into the public space across the street below the Hydro building. But I understand that they chose the current orientation because of wind/sun considerations.

On a side note, has anyone seen that old two-story seventies building on St. Mary and Edmonton that is being renovated with new floor-to-ceiling windows? I wish I had pics to show. But it's nice to see TNS not only spurring new construction, but also the improvement of existing buildings in the area.

That building actually goes back to the 1950s, it's one of the better mid-century modern buildings in downtown Winnipeg:

It's nice to see it getting some much needed TLC from its new owner.

Looks great - I love the striping patterns. Curious to see how the finishings on the elevator shafts/stairwells turn out, rendering looks like vinyl siding but that is obviously not what it'll be. Hahaha

I know it sounds like complaining, but it would have made a magnificent 40ish storey building.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love what we are getting but...
