A spot of good news for the TTC. Even with hiccups, it's still a service that is the envy of North America... As for Thunder Bay, I always thought that the city and Bombardier should've worked together to showcase their made-in-town transit solutions with a basic starter LRT service between the airport, downtown and university... Sure the city is only 100,000 but so what...

Toronto has always had excellent local service, it's the rapid part of the transit equation that Toronto lacks.

So they renamed "Downsview" to "Sheppard West" - I guess because they didn't want confusion with "Downsview Park"?

Some pics I took of York University Station from Saturday's Doors Open Toronto event. An extension of the Spadina subway is scheduled to open at the end of the year.

Cool place!
