What are those blocks sticking out the windows? Mini balconies or air conditioning units? For such a simple design I don’t understand the point of these barely noticeable irregular blocks. If it’s trying to spice it up I don’t think it’s succeeding.

The Union proposal for Griffintown looks great in the renderings.

It will be very difficult for the final product to look that good, otherwise it could look quite cheap. Fingers crossed.

And yes, O-tac, those are balconies...

Those are sad balconies IMO, (chode-like).

The design looks interesting but I feel like I'm supposed to imagine these black rectangles as contemporary Juliette balconies....

A white slab should be interesting in Griffintown.....in absolutely no way...nvm

492 Eglinton

Well, it looks like the houses just west of Banff on Eglinton (Closer to Bayview..but not far from Mt Pleasant.) will be meeting their end. I found the proposal a bit tall before, but now I think it's fine.....my former apartment was across the street from this proposal, which apparently is now called the Cardiff instead of 492 Eglinton:

Condo website:http://thecardiff.ca/

The site:https://www.google.ca/maps/place/492...=en&authuser=0

Wow, didn't expect a sign to be there, the last time I was there the houses were boarded up.

Great day for Toronto!

According to Urbantoronto.ca, Infrastructure Ontario has chosen Renzo Piano as the designer for the new courthouse under construction in downtown Toronto.

Hm....not sure what the designs are anymore, I'm confusing them with Etobicokes civic centre.
