The rendering is a bit funny in that the towers at North Road and Cameron look partially transparent but have been built for years and are not part of the Lougheed redevelopment.

There are also two towers going up across the street (roughly topped out) that don't appear in the rendering, and lots of construction is happening farther up North Road.

It's nice to see because Lougheed Mall and North Road are pretty dumpy. Like Brentwood, the mall predated the SkyTrain by many decades and was designed for most people to be driving in rather than living in the neighbourhood or coming by transit.

The Korean influx has really made the neighbourhood more interesting and a lot more pedestrian. Nice to see almost all these projects along north road bringing in more retail and places to eat etc. Its going to be a much better area in the coming decade.

preselling now, burquitlam/north road, just NE of Lougheed Town Centre. The office tower seems to be the first phase.

Wow that is a misleading camera trick. Can't get any farther away from the mountains in the back without entering the USA, for non-Vancouverites.

I know these photos are kind of pathetic in showing pathetic suburban skylines in Edmonton but I figured; why not.

Brentwood is looking a lot more substantial and imposing these days. The buildings in that area that looked tall 5 years ago look inconsequential now. The perceived scale of an area changes dramatically when a new building goes up that is significantly taller than everything else.

Yep, the change has been dramatic and it has only begun! For example, in the last picture there will soon be a Vancouver's new tallest building of over 200 meters on the left side of the skyline, which will be far taller than the mountains in the background. Also the tower under construction on the left will be joined by another 40+ floor tower already under construction.

And on the right hand side there are several 40-50 floor towers underway. It's going to be interesting.
