Hey everyone, I have been working on a Mississauga SketchUp rendering for the past few days. I only have a few buildings in so far but it's a work in progress! I'll be adjusting the massing of the models to be more accurate eventually!

Great render. But the tallest Sugar Wharf twins are vomit inducing.

I'm hoping for a new design before construction begins... something cutting edge hopefully.

I'm not too fond of 'The Hub's bulkiness either, looks very out of place.

Agreed, it's too bulky and too boxy for that location. Is this a new render? The original looked more bronze.

It certainly looks a slight less bulky in that specific render, the colour of the glass wasn't a big issue for me. I'm also wondering what might be filling in the gap between the first few floors and the rest of the building; mechanical maybe?

That's definitely not a new render. I remember seeing that one a while ago when the initial renders came out.

Here is another update; the Bonnie Doon Mall transit oriented development, along with a couple of other projects proposed for this area of Edmonton.

It's big but it doesn't actually look as big as it should in that rendering considering its proposed 280m height. Looks no more than 230m to me.

Harbour Plaza, to it's left, is 238 metres tall...

Yeah, exactly. And since it looks slightly taller the hub must be rendered at a lower height. Although it's tricky to tell given the perspective.

I tweaked the render, how does this work scale wise?

It looks good.
And to me, I don't feel it looks bulky (from either rendering). If anything I feel like Toronto could do with some more buildings with height and girth.

IMO, it only looks bulky compared to the neighboring residential towers that have smaller floor plates. Put it in the financial district and it would look right at home. That being said, I think that area of the Southcore would benefit from a bit of architectural diversity, so it's a welcome addition.

I liked the first proposal as it actually had colour besides the monotony of blue-glass.

Hey Koops, is there a render of that building anywhere? I can't find it. And I mean the one dead centre in your last render.
