Jan. 11 Pictures:

I tried to take a couple photos of the Nutrien Tower pit but I cannot see my screen in the sunlight. Its difficult to even review the photo gallery outdoors and my horrible eyesight does not help.

Anyway as it turns out I somehow was not actually getting the pictures I thought I was. But no matter.... the pit is a little deeper but other than that there is not a big change. There is only a single vantage point from the street into the pit (at least when they a working)

I did get a couple of pictures though:

^^^^ A little more glass up. Its hard to see but on the northeast corner of the tower can be seen some glass "leaning out" (as opposed to "leaning in" on the northwest side). I think there was also some visible in my previous update. The 10th floor has been poured and the 10th floor columns are up.

^^^^ Its been there for a while but the steel staircase frame in the lobby can be seen in this photo.

^^^^ They are taking down the condo construction elevator.

^^^^ I noticed what appear to be red lights on the corner of the condo.

Urban Capital so far has a good track record for their designs. What's up with the red lights though?

... red lights could be because building is near an aviation flight path, I can't think of another reason.

Earlier this week Saskatoon City Council gave green light to rezone site in preparation for Urban Capital's next tower set for Broadway Ave on south river bank opposite downtown.

Damn this hellscape

This year, Missingsausage will see 7 highrises (literally) rise. 5 of them are currently rising, with the last unphotographed one being the third Mirage Condos building by the Conservatory Group, which is about 5-7 floors high. The other two will be the new tallest twins, M City Phase 1 & 2.

I took these today from my cell phone,

"8x on the Park" at 1111 Richards Street, Vancouver

It's taken about 21 months to get to this point since they started excavating.

Very Cool!

Here's an older update but a beautiful photo of the construction of the University of Lethbridge Science and Academic Building from last year!

http://www.destinationproject.ca/201...-construction/

Lethbridge Transit's new transit terminal and park n ride is nearing completion in the middle of the city's downtown core. The building will also house the Southern Alberta offices and terminal facilities for Red Arrow, which is now the only intercity bus service in Alberta.

One Burrard Place, Burrard Street, Vancouver

Excavation for this tower started 33 months ago. It’s finally rising above it’s podium. The thread in the Vancouver forum was started over 8 years and 3 months ago.

Looks like it'll be a while before we build anything other than hideous suburban office buildings...

Here's an update on the construction of phase 2 of Burrard Place in Vancouver (the pit in the foreground of the pic below). It's a small office tower fronting Burrard Street.

Alberni by Kengo Kuma, at 1550 Alberni Street in Vancouver.

Another tower that I will be watching with great interest will be Alberni by Kengo Kuma, at the corner of Alberni and Cardero.

The site...

Something a little different from Roller-coaster nerds. Canada's first dive coaster and the worlds tallest dive coaster. The track is now complete.
