Hard to tell what materials they're using for the vertical panels in between the glass, but I like the pattern of the alternating angles, creating a wave-like waterfall effect.

I was just over there today and took a closer look at the panels that are up now. It looks higher quality cladding for sure (likely terracotta). The wave pattern/undulation should look really nice in the AM and around sunset.

Regardless, I'm excited to see it when it's closer to completion.

Pictures from last Tuesday. This is going to look really nice, especially from Yerba Buena Gardens. The panels appear to be pre-cast concrete, but I didn't get close enough to tell for sure. What's nice about this is that the glass will bring a nice splash of color to this view, but the white concrete (or possibly stone) panels fit in well with the concrete on surrounding towers. First two pics are from the mid-block paseo behind the church, and the last one from YB.

I thought I had read a while back that the exterior masonry was supposed to be limestone or sandstone?

But that was when Millennium was the developer. Now that Four Seasons is in charge, maybe things have changed.

Yes, this is why housing is expensive in Bay Area and California. It's hella expensive to build here. And also why some materials get "value engineered."

^^That rendering makes it look kind of deco. Not sure I like trees sprouting out of the Aronson Building, though. Generally, I like designs with green roofs and green walls and such, but adding this touch to a historic structure makes it look almost post-apocalyptic, as if nature were taking over the remnants of civilization.

I like the tiered look of the tower, gives it a nice depth. Glad the facade has nice touches, instead of just a plain facade all the way through. I am enjoying seeing this one come to life.
