This development looks huge when observed from the Aviation Parkway and Montreal...

You can also clearly see it across the farm from Merivale @ Baseline!

From hoggytime/Harley613 on Skyrise. This one is topped out, making it the second tallest building in Ottawa, third tallest in the Metropolitan Region.

^The TOD potential around Cyrville Station is so obvious from this picture. This project is only a start hopefully.

White/grey coloured aluminum panel cladding has started going up on the tower portion, specifically on the north and west sides.

Wow, the grade level is VERY Lux (sarcasm)... Hopefully there's some good landscaping included so this building can live up to it's name. So far I'm not seeing much Lux, other than oversized balconies?

Good on them for the height, we need to push the boundaries. And being first to market TOD in this neighbourhood is going to be good for business.

I assumed it was LUX for light, not for luxury.

Drove past this the other day as well. It looks surprisingly well-done, especially when you compare it to some of the godawful designs claridge and others are putting up in prime locations in the core. If other builds in the area follow suit, it could become a pretty unique enclave just outside the core. It's a shame that they didn't introduce any commercial at the bottom though.

I'm still slightly shocked this thing is only 110m. Despite the fact that it is kind of swimming on its own it's just so damn prominent. I would have guessed it was closer to Icons height than what it is. Really shows how used to 80m height buildings across the city I am that this thing sticks out like it does.

It's 115m. Rocketphish didn't include that massive mechanical penthouse in the calculation.

Is that a massive mechanical penthouse on your roof or are you just happy to be in my city?

It's actually the City that doesn't require the developer to include mechanical penthouses in their building height calculation for project submissions . You can take that issue up with them directly.

Interestingly though, the latest posted elevation appears to show a further ~3m beyond the 114.?m marked roof height (you have to really zoom-in to read it, unfortunately). Maybe just walls to hide some mechanicals? The wiki doesn't seem to take this into account for this building's CTBUH height.

Do you have a copy of the latest plan? The roof has changed a couple of times, I'm not surprised the height has changed

No, I don't. I tried searching for it but haven't hit paydirt yet.

Aha! I found readable elevations from May 2022 which were submitted for site plan control approval. So I've updated the title of this thread to the listed max heights.

Awesome, good find! These look to be completely accurate.

I sent a message to the developer asking if they can give an estimation on when the next phase might break ground, we'll see if there is any response!
