That's too bad. Did Thorkelson run out of money or did the economics of development just sour? It's crazy to see so many stalled projects with a ~2% vacancy rate in the city.

Oh I really hope so because I remember they were about to present their variance and rezoning application to the city back in November but then backtracked and removed the sign from the lot. I just assumed it was due to interest rate hikes but if it does happen that would be amazing because that parking lot being redeveloped would do wonders for the area.

nearly two grand a month for a 2br/2bath place in a building designed by accountants on a stroad next to a KFC...

... and yet building projects are being cancelled because you can't turn a profit

rates+inflation have created a really wild situation

Say what you will about the design or construction of the building, it has great scale on Pembina and I would love to see more of these all over the city.
