I am not sure if I want to compete or not. Can we just throw ours out there so long as we follow the rules and meet the deadlines?

I am a total newb and only have access to sketchup free edition...so mine isn't going to be of any quality.

Lol alright then. I have my main tower partially finished weighing in at 2k feet high exactly. I do need some textures or else it will look like a big ugly gray brick.

Here is the spot I am doing. Northern end of the Brooklyn bridge is on the bottom left hand side.

Okay! Anywhere in Manhattan is good. Even if the zone only has short buildings. Or even if the area has no buildings.

One more thing, you can design a waterfront if you wish. Just in case someone asked later on.

Oh! One you have a location, post it here so nobody takes your location. That way this is a first come first serve thing.

Seeing as there's only one winner it won't really matter if we use the same location?

Nice location I was going to choose that but I like those buildings in that location so I didn't want to destroy them.

Anyways, here's my location. It's in the waterfront between the Henry Hudson Parkway, 52nd West, 10th Ave West, and West 46th Street...

That also includes the cruise terminal.

Woah! Looks like we'll have a good number of entries on this comp. We need more people in this forum!

Entrants:
Skyscraper100
Austin55
Aleks0o01
Treras93
Patrick
Bbeliko
Krases
Dac150

We just need foxmtbr, CGII, malec and possibly Goothrey.

Yeah but it's just to keep people from being confused. And we have more variety that way. We don't want to see the same location over and over again. Well, unless it was like the WTC competition where there's a specific site.

Oh, one more rule. Send me all your entries to me via a private message. Just to keep the entries to a maximum surprise. And to prevent early voting/people stealing other people's ideas.

If he's running it, obviously he can't compete. That's how I have always done such things back in the day when I did so.

I think its alright. Sure its a competition, but I highly doubt Aleks0o01 is going to steal all of our ideas lol.

haha. never thought about that. thanks for pointing that out...

But no, I wont't steal any ideas cause I already have my ideas.

Also, I was thinking of December 12 for the deadline. that gives about two weeks but i can extent it up to a week if people need more time.

Lastly, the buildings can be any age. from 1930 to 2008. Just in case anyone wanted to make an older building.

Maybe Mike wouldent mind, see as hes not running.

I like the deadline, that gives us a week of then time for a restart friday, the 19th for a winter break comp.

Well since it can be from any era, I think it goes without saying what I'm going to come up with.
