This project in Sussex has finished up. It is right next to Shoppers on Main Street.

I found this on CCD Canada. They don't list a location, and site selection is not yet complete, but I assume it will be along the Fundy coast, probably in Charlotte County.

Salmon Evolution has always had global ambitions, and we are now working to extend our potential to new regions.

Together with our joint venture partner, seafood giant Dongwon Industries, we will develop, construct and operate land-based salmon farming facilities in South Korea based on the very same principles as in Norway.

We have also initiated a process aimed at establishing a land-based salmon farming operation in North America.

In this way, we will reach our goal of producing 100 000 tonnes of fish annually by 2032, bringing high-quality and responsibly-farmed salmon closer to our customers.

These guys seem to be big dogs. Dongwan makes Sunkist tuna, they're on the Norwegian stock exchange, partners with Cargill and the Norwegian state electrical utility... interesting.

The Green Pig farmers market in Salisbury NB arises from the ashes.

Infinity Aerials photo.

The plan is to be reopened before Christmas. The new store will be twice the size, but it will be a while before all the variety that the old store carried will be reestablished.

CN purchasing the Truro to Point Tupper stretch of the CBCN railway. They are NOT acquiring the Point Tupper to Sydney portion, which AFAIK is in a state of near ruin. I presume CN only crossed the causeway to access the port at Point Tupper.

Correct. I was told this was already done a few months ago.

Think of the sub between Miramichi and Bathurst.

Not certain. However if there is future container traffic that is going to be on there, then they will put the money in for upgrades for certain.

Add another place to the Popeyes list. Tammy over on the Woodstock facebook page has semi-confirmed (It's 'known but unconfirmed') that Popeyes is going into the Kojax complex in Woodstock, just off the TCH. Renovations are ongoing in the old CountryStyle space, and its expected to be open in the fall.

I was looking at a map of the Fundy Regional Service commission today and man that Fundy rural district does not need to exist. It's disjointed and barely populated.

There's a little wedge between Quispamsis and the expanded St Martins (I believe it's the remainder of the old Rothesay parish) that should be added to either. Mispec and the LNG terminal should be annexed by Saint John. The Petersville area should be added to the Capital RD. Westfield Parish and the Browns Flat area should be amalgamated with Grand Bay-Westfield or added to the Capital or Southwest RD. That would just leave the Kingston Peninsula and its 4,000 residents- more than enough for a municipality.

Same with the Southeast RD. Every part of it should be part of Tantramar, Riverside-Albert, Maple Hills, or Three Rivers. It has eight discontiguous landlocked portions.

The other RDs are fine more or less. But these two are more of the patchwork that municipal reform was trying to eliminate.

Sussex Christian School is seeking to purchase the Fairway Inn across Route 1. They want to both expand the school (not relocate), convert some motel rooms into apartments, and continue to have JJ's Diner operate.

Minto scores the jail. It's a win for both MLAs.

Kris Austin, whose riding needs the jobs, won't find a jail unpalatable, and could do with the property tax revenue, gets a big investment. Mary Wilson gets a boost for keeping it out of her sub/exurban riding.

This little stub just showed up on the CCD page:

NB - HARTLAND
APARTMENT BUILDING, HARTLAND
NEW APARTMENT BUILDING
$7,273,000
Nearly $7.3M is quite a bit of money for a new apartment building in Hartland. Anyone know anything about this???

Good idea. This was my response to the post above on the other thread:

Indeed. The render is fantastic. If built as depicted, this will be an excellent addition to downtown St. Stephen.

It's also not far from the Ganong Chocolate museum. That's a tremendous one-two punch for the town. And, right next to the border crossing too.

The three Pacificat ferries are for sale: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...lace-1.7080937

$15M for all three, even if they need a ton of work, worth it? That could keep the Magdalen Islands and Digby both happy, and keep a spare around for parts.

According to the town newspaper, a new development in Hebbville (which borders Bridgewater on its southern side) proposes 1,412 new residential units (15 apartment buildings, 156 townhouses, and 208 houses). Should it pass, it will be built on the land where William Wile Road butts into Century Drive.

For reference, Hebbville (where I grew up) currently has about 800 residents and has seen no major developments that I can ever remember - two large apartment buildings going up in the 70s (just outside of town limits) would likely be the last ones.

I haven't kept exact track, but that must make at least 5,000 new residential units announced for Bridgewater and immediate surrounding villages over the past couple of years.
